I don't imagine you're nosy enough, but you may be able to find out a little more info about what had gone on if you fill out a FOIA request. I'm not sure what state statutes are like out there and what can/cannot be released. Hopefully, it was just something minor for the man at least.

Not sure what you were trying to say with the sidewalk. But that widening was a well-needed change. Even if it's just a slight improvement for pedestrians. It will pay off by making the city less hostile towards people without cars. That's true for most cities. I am not hating on Austin. Just saying: there was something wrong with the sidewalk, it was too thin.

Those are truly the best spots to stumble upon. I can tell you as “a man in a wheelchair“ for the last 38 years, we typically do not want anyone to temper their sheer enjoyment or lust for life in front of us, especially when it involves children. It’s true we perhaps reflect a little bit and get nostalgic if we have experienced similar prior to a disability, but if it affected me in a negative way I would not be at the pool. As the pool alone would be the difficult part to consume. And, without question a child’s curiosity about why I might be at the pool, but also in a wheelchair is rarely a problem. The answer can add even more understanding of the world to a developing mind. In fact, as your story unfolds and the ambulance exits stage left, it serves as a reminder that life is way too short. And enjoy every second as best you can. Well told Mr Spirited.

There are levels of artistic quality in so far as RUclips content goes. There is a lot of subjective interpretation as to what art is, but no question to me at least that you approach video creation as an art form. You approach your craft with the mind of an artist. At least that's my subjective opinion of your channel and I watch lots of content ranging from the trivial to the serious. You are an Artist.

If you want to make film, make film. Drop half your savings into a short. Sit down and write that short. Go beg semi-decent actors to be in the short. Go beg an DOP to help you shoot it for almost no money. Most film makers never make it past the desire because they dont sit down and write a short. They don't have the courage to tell a compelling story in 10-15 minutes. It's the ultimate test: can you telling compelling short story and do you have the savviness to make it happen on a small budget? Most get bogged down in the Hollywood game, spend years writing a feature. If you're a film maker, make film. Narrative film. Poor your soul into something for a change. Prove to yourself that you have what it takes.
